America's vaccine supply problem has now morphed into a demand one, as some states face a vaccine surplus and Michigan confronts a surge. Some colleges are requiring vaccines for the fall semester.
Wow, it's been a year! And what a very long one. Thanks once again, Benjy, for all your hard work keeping us informed with these excellent summaries.
I'm wondering about the use of MMR vaccine to improve immunity to Covid. I remember an early report on how it was associated with less severe symptoms. Perhaps in combination with the Covid vaccine it will provide greater immunity to variants. I'm going to get it just in case it provides some benefit -- and I'm from the generation that received the first measles vaccine, which wasn't very effective. Anyway, if you find out anything more about it, please let us know.
Thanks so much for your support throughout! Latest research is here — I think they're testing using the measles vaccine in conjunction with the Covid vaccine. Nothing in humans yet.
